Mountain Thyme

Mountain Thyme is a 2-bedroom, 2 full bath home with an additional bunk room. The open plan living room-dining room-kitchen keeps the family connected and able to enjoy each other's company during meal preparation or when grabbing a snack during game night. The front porch spans the entire front of the house and features rocking chairs overlooking the beautifully landscaped front yard, the deep forest that surrounds the house, and the stream that flows along the property. As you sit in a rocker on the porch and soak in the peace of the forest, listen to the waterfall and the birdsong and smell the scent of thyme and the forest in the air.

The primary bedroom has a king bed and ensuite full bathroom with a shower. The secondary bedroom has a queen bed. The bunk room is a roughly 6x8 space that creates a cozy, fort-like feel for kids in the stacked bunks. There is also a comfortable cot that can be set up in one of the bedrooms or in the living room. The second bathroom is off the living room and is a full bath with a tub/shower enclosure. There is a grill on the rear patio.

The house sits on 4.5 acres. Walk the trails through the forest up behind the house or sit by the stream and let the deep peace of Mountain Thyme help you decompress.

Once recharged, enjoy the dozens of great hiking opportunities in the area, from the waterfall hikes of the DuPont Forest (35 minute drive), to the beautiful Green River and Pearson's Falls, just 15 minutes away. Downtown Saluda is just 1.9 miles from the house, The Village Bakery, Flat Rock Playhouse, and Carl Sandberg House and Trails are just 15 minutes away in Flat Rock, and Hendersonville's fabulous historic Main Street and the Ecusta Pedestrian/Cycling trail are only 20 minutes away.
