Panoramic waterfront chalet on Bogue Sound — stunning water and sky views from almost every room. Surrounded by massive live oaks, this light-filled home is perfect for families, two couples, or a romantic hideaway. The great room features a floor-to-ceiling glass wall that opens to the patio; bedrooms flank both sides for privacy and each master has patio access. Each wing can be closed off for separate groups.

Sleeping up to 9: king in the primary master, queen in the secondary master, full-over-full bunk with pullout trundle in bedroom three, and a sleeper sofa in the office. The office includes a monitor and desk — ideal for a work-cation with reliable internet.

The well-equipped kitchen opens to outdoor living with a Big Green Egg grill and patio dining. The double lot is studded with live oaks and includes an outdoor shower, boat dock with a sunset sitting area, and easy kayak access to nearby islands. Boat-friendly with ICW access; public ramp nearby. Note: driveway is long and backing a trailer requires skill. Water depth at the dock is tidal and wind-dependent, so low-tide depth varies. Kayak launch only from the ramp. No events allowed.

Convenient to the Crystal Coast: Emerald Isle beaches, restaurants, waterparks, and mini-golf are 10–15 minutes away. Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium, Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, and Morehead City are within a 30-minute drive. Come for the views — stay for everything the coast offers.

  This is a must stay. Super solid dock, stays deep enough even in low tide for 22+ boats. Everything is new and yard is manicured. Missed all the Isle traffic by staying on mainland side of the bay!!

  We had the most incredible stay at this waterfront property in Newport, NC, and we can't recommend it enough! From the moment we stepped inside, we were in awe of the breathtaking views of the water right outside the window. The space was perfectly cozy, yet spacious, with modern touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. We loved relaxing on the private deck, enjoying our morning coffee while watching the boats go by — it was the perfect way to start each day.
  
  The amenities were fantastic, with everything we needed to feel comfortable throughout our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made preparing meals a breeze, and the living room provided the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings. We especially appreciated how thoughtful and attentive the host was — they were so responsive and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. The little details, like the soft, luxurious linens and well-stocked bathroom, really made the stay feel special.
  
  What truly made this getaway unforgettable, though, was the location. Being right on the water offered us the ultimate sense of peace and serenity. Whether we were kayaking, fishing, or just enjoying the views, it was the perfect spot for an escape. We were even able to see pods of dolphins go by several afternoons!   Just returned from an amazing stay on the Southern Outer Banks and already can't wait to go back. This property offers everything you need for fun and relaxation. Unlike many homes in the area, this property offers peace and quiet when you want to relax but it's close enough to the beautiful beaches, amazing restaurants, and great shopping that Emerald Isle has to offer. The pier is perfect for relaxing in an adirondack chair with a cocktail while watching the beautiful sunsets each evening. The provided kayaks were great for getting out on the water and exploring some of the coast around the house.
  
  The house itself is top notch - comfortable furniture throughout, high end appliances, and a well-appointed kitchen ensures that your stay will be comfortable...sometimes too comfortable because you might not want to get out of bed in the morning!
  
  For our family and friends, there's no place else we will stay when visiting the SOBX!
