This Tar Landing condo is the perfect family vacation home! Families and friends will enjoy the breath-taking ocean views. Come sit on Papa Jim's front porch and have an ice-cold glass of sweet tea, or relax and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. The spacious & comfortable condo is outfitted with everything you will need while on vacation. Plus the community pool and clubhouse are always a hit! There is also a small shallow pool for very young children, and plenty of nice lounge chairs and seating to catch some rays and relax. There is a swing set area for the little ones to get rid of some of their energy. And the best part about this unit is the private community beach walkway is directly across from the unit! Just a 2 minute walk to the beach from your front door. Can't beat that! The walkway features an area to rinse off all the sand from the beach, including a foot spray and shower.

Please be aware this unit only allows 2 car parking spaces. There is an area by the mailboxes where one other car can be parked. It is located outside the gate. But this space cannot be guaranteed. There is no other overflow parking inside the gated community.
HOA requires parking passes inside the complex, and they monitor this daily.
HOA will not allow more than 10 people to stay per unit, so please keep this in mind when booking.
Guests are not allowed to have pets.
All At Waves Edge guests pay a 55.00 damage protection fee at time of booking. This covers you up to 1500.00, ONLY IF GUESTS REPORT the DAMAGES BEFORE CHECK OUT to the PROPERTY MANAGER.
Check in after 4 pm, and check out before 10 am.

As you enter into this gorgeous condo, on the left side you will see a bedroom with two twin day beds. A full bath connects with the next bedroom-which has three twin beds and a full bed. This area would be perfect for the children to gather in. There is a Smart TV in this room for the kids to enjoy. The washer and dryer are on this floor in a hallway closet, and across from the laundry is a closet with an extra fridge to keep cold drinks and extra food supplies.

Head upstairs to the second floor where you will find the beautiful kitchen with stylish granite counter-tops. The kitchen opens up directly to the living room and dining area, and from there head outside on the deck to see the spectacular view of the ocean. There is a Smart TV in the main living room for family viewing. Just past the kitchen are a bar area and a full bath that leads into another bedroom. This bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. Notice the private door that leads outside...

The top floor has two bedrooms, both with king-size beds. Each bedroom has it's own large bathroom with double vanities and a garden tub/shower combo.. *Bonus* there is an extra stand up shower that joins both bathrooms together! Plenty of places for everyone to get cleaned up after the beach :) Both of these rooms have Smart TVs to enjoy a little relaxing time.

This amazing home is extremely close to Fort Macon’s State park. No boats, jet skis, trailers, campers, or motorcycles are allowed at Tar Landing. All TVs are Smart TVs, so log into your own apps or bring your Roku or Firestick. Each TV also has regular cable to enjoy from the Spectrum TV app.

  My family had a wonderful week staying at papa Jim’s Front Porch! The condo was as listed and more. The view was wonderful from the deck. We sat on the swing every day. The property was clean and well maintained. Heather was wonderful to work with!! I would recommend, but would rather keep it a secret..lol!
  We have been coming down and staying only at Tar Landing on and off since 1987. We spend most of our time at the beach. But do love Amos Mosquito and The Island Grille. We always visit Beaufort and the water front in Morehead City. I gave 5 stars on everything except the condition, but only for a couple things that could use a refresh.

  What can I say about Papa Jim's? Amazing views, plenty of beds, and the perfect spot for a family vacation. We have been staying at Tar Landing Villas for 25 years. My family owned a condo there until 2021. It is the best place to vacation on the island in my opinion. The Property Manager, Heather went above and beyond to help us with some issues we had with the cleaners and some things we needed for the condo and she was so kind and helpful. The beach is private and I was really surprised that it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, which we loved. We normally come down in August but July was great. We love the pool and the views of the ocean were great. We even left the doors open one night to listen to the ocean while we slept. It is a great spot for a large family with children. Thank you to Heather for making our stay amazing! And this is a place we would definitely stay at again!

  Heather was very polite, professional and helpful. Overall, we liked the community and size of the condo. There were a few issues with cleanliness, leaks that caused wet ceiling tiles, trash receptacles that were too small and numerous spiders (on the bottom floor). View was great, and a quick walk to the beach. I’m sure the issues we noticed will be remedied with Heather’s involvement.
